On 31 August 2026, Sean Hickey posted a small, sharp product idea: most builders sit on unused domains from projects that never materialized. Type the name in. Let something invent the second life.

His example was exact. btun.io became Buddy Tunnel — a SaaS that synchronizes files across devices. The letters already knew the product. Nobody had asked them.

Domain Phoenix is that tool. It does not scrape WHOIS or guess traffic. It treats the name as a brief: tokens, TLD archetype, three angles, a week of work. The generator is deterministic on purpose — same domain, same bones — so you can argue with the reading instead of waiting on a model.

Wire an LLM later if you want more surprise. The constraint is the point.
